THE NATIONAL CATALOGUE OF INNOVATIONS FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Academy of Sciences of the Dominican Republic and the Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the UNDP Office, the UNDP ART GOLD RD Programme and the IDEASS International Secretary is coordinating the production of the National Catalogue of Innovations for Human Development. The production of the National Catalogue is realized through the validation of innovations presented by different Dominican institutions and actors and producing the brochures in collaboration with the authors of the innovations. The first innovations are related to issues of greatest impact in the country, such as: renewable energies, sustainable agriculture, local economic development, democratic governance and sustainable tourism. These innovations will be promoted in the country by the Academy of Sciences through national meeting and the media, to foster the use of methodologies and technologies at the national level. The National Catalogue is currently presented in the websites of the Caribbean Scientific Union (CCC), institution that associates the Academies of Sciences of the Caribbean Countries, of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic, and of the UNDP Country Office of Dominican Republic, at the following links:
